Group Work

Group work is very good for me it has given me new hope. I feel good when I am able to meet other women who have suffered like me but now their life is better and they are safe. I feel I have hope.

Savera Group is a project run by Saheli to raise awareness on domestic abuse and to empower women. Many of the women accessing our group work are survivors of domestic abuse. Domestic Abuse can have a detrimental effect on women’s lives and many women lose confidence and self esteem.

The aim of the group work are to develop their emotional and mental well- being by providing them with relevant information, to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to support them so they can contribute positively in the community.

The group work also aims to reduce different barriers that many women face to rebuild their lives including language, isolation, lack of information etc.
